Last nights episode of The Amazing Race (aka TAR) sent them to Perth, Australia ! It was pretty cool to see the teams racing around Perth, including Rotto and Freo Prison. What was even better was that the Philimination mat was only about a 5 minute walk (okay maybe 10) from where I used to work.
I dont know whether they picked Australians with particularly strong accents to participate in the show, but i swear the accents (what accent?) never sounded that strong when I was there !!
A funny thing about the accents Dave, I'm back in Perth for the first time in 15 months and I am amazed at how much the accents stick out to me. I swear everyone sounds like Kath and Kim. I used to think that we didn't talk like that, now I am not so sure.
ReplyDeleteHey dave, did you see that this week they're up in Kakadu chasing crocs? Well at least that's the idea :) Anyway, you should have seen how giddy Jess was watching TAR in Perth! And yeah, I'm with you about the mat being so close to work!
