Caught the train down to Truro, in Cornwall, on the Friday before New Years' Eve to catch up with a friend of A's who lives in Perranporth. Had a great relaxing time touring around a bit, despite the cold wind and rain. Spent the stroke of midnight of New Years standing at the edge of the beach watching fireworks. A bit of a different New Years day at the beach to what I am used to - can't remember too many people wandering around in gum boots and waterproofs in Oz!

where are the fireworks photos? I'm surprised you packed gumboots as a general attire for a weekend away.
ReplyDeletei forgot my camera when we dashed down to the beach at about a minute to midnight (and it is nice just to enjoy the fireworks for once instead of trying to take photos of them !). as for the gumboots, well i wasn't that organised - left that to the locals
