The whale that swam up the Thames managed to beach itself near Battersea Bridge, about 10 minutes walk from where I live. Headed down to check it out with a few thousand other Londoners. Poor thing.

It's terrible what happened. I think it took too damn long for them to decide to get the rescuers out there to try and save the beautiful animal.
ReplyDeleteOr maybe they thought the kidnappers who were plotting to take Tony Blairs son cleverly disguised a submarine as a whale......
good pictures! an amazing event,and all those people and all that willpower still would not let him live. What a difference from the Islantic and Japanese........
